Behana Canyoning Review | ISIC Australia
Check out Sharna's review of her Behana Canyoning experience up in Cairns.
Way back in September last year we gave away 2 vouchers for Behana Canyoning experiences. One of the lucky winners, Sharna has been very kind to detail the fun she had throughout the tour.
How did you find the tropical North Queensland environment?
It was humid but since I was on holidays and could relax it didn't bother me. It didn't rain while we were there which was great!
Was the canyoning experience the perfect way to cool off from the heat?
Yes, the water was very cool! In winter they use full body wet suits, but since it was warm we only had wet suits for our top half which was just enough for the cool waters.
Were there a group of you doing the canyoning experience? If so, where was everyone from?
There were 8 of us in the group. One was a backpacker from Germany, 1 couple was from Adelaide and the other couples were from Queensland.
What was the highlight from the tour?
Seeing the amazing canyon, the views were amazing and due to it being so remote it wasn't crowded. The tour guides were also amazing and made sure you had lots of fun.
Would you recommend the tours to others? If so, why?
Yes I would, but only if you like adventure and you're not afraid of heights as there were some big jumps and steep cliffs! The tour involves a lot of walking and swimming so you have to be reasonably fit too.
Don't forget though, if you'd like to experience a little more than the usual sightseeing tour, immerse yourself in the fresh beautiful waters of Behana Gorge and come for an adventure with Behana Canyoning. ISIC, IYTC, and ITIC cardholders receive $30 off!
